60 years since 1956: the Hungarian Revolution and its aftermath in East and Central Europe


BASEES and the Hungarian Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade are collaborating - in this sixtieth anniversary year of the Hungarian Revolution - to stage a conference in Budapest to mark the events of 1956. The conference will discuss all aspects of the revolution and its wider impact. 

To propose a paper you will need to fill in a proposal form with your contact details and an abstract of no more than 250 words.

Registration Fee
Registration Fee - £150.00
Postgraduate Student Registration Fee - £100.00
Registration will be open the deadline for paper submission. The registration fee will be paid by debit or credit card via a secure link.

The registration deadline is 1 December 2016. Participants who have not registered and paid registration fees by 1 December 2016 will be removed from the final version of the programme.
