Research and Development - support for postgraduate students, 2 September 2020

The cancellation of the BASEES 2020 conference incurred significant costs for BASEES. In order to maintain the sustainability of the association’s finances, funding for Research and Development activities has to be scaled down. We have therefore suspended schemes that support conference organisation and attendance. 

The BASEES committee agree that support for postgraduate research is our highest priority. Many students’ research plans will have been massively disrupted by the crisis. 

BASEES will offer support for graduate students in their research in areas other than travel. Appropriate applications for support in transcriptions for example, or other necessary fieldwork support, will be considered

Please note the upcoming deadline of the next round of funding for postgraduate support is 1 October 2020.
