Committee Vacancy for BASEES Information officer: Applications Invited
Have you ever wanted to be at the heart of the UK’s Slavic Studies networks, give something back to the BASEES community, test your skills as an editor, or give a voice to new initiatives in the field of Central Asian, Russian, and Eastern European Studies? Here is your chance to fill one of the most diverse and rewarding roles on the BASEES committee.
The BASEES Committee is seeking applications for the post of Information Officer, which will be vacant from June 2019. This post is normally held for three years. To register your interest in applying, please email office@basees.org with a statement of qualifications. The post will remain open until April 13th, 2019, or until a suitable candidate is found.
The duties of the Information Officer currently include:
Editing the triannual BASEES Newsletter
Helping to run the BASEES social media accounts
Editing the BASEES website, e.g. the news feed (no special web-editing skills required)
The post includes some other minor responsibilities. Please contact the outgoing Information Officer, Dr Muireann Maguire, at muireann.maguire@exeter.ac.uk for more information. Candidates for this post should be a current BASEES member at post-doctoral level or above, have an academic position in the field of Slavic Studies, and native-level competence in English.
